在電腦接駁多個顯示屏下設定不同wallpaper 看似是理所當然的事, 在Windows 10 中, 亦有相類似的設定. 然而, 在Windows 7 或者古早的XP, 則沒有此類功能. 若須要設定, 則須要透過第三方軟件進行.

Dual Monitor Tools 是一套開源軟件可以設定多重顯示的背景, 除了設定不同的背景外, 還可以設定一幅圖片橫跨多個屏幕. 並且作若干微調. 另外, 它還可以透過command prompt 進行設置, 在之前沒有Powershell 的時代, 這個功能的確有用.
